Bangladesh Navy in Cox’s Bazar seized a ship in the Bay of Bengal that was carrying 614 people, including crew members, human traffickers and the trafficking victims, to Malaysia illegally. The Ship ‘Durjoy’ was seized about 50 nautical miles south-west of St Martin around 12.00pm on Monday. Confirming the news, Lt Mostafa Kamal, the force’s station commander at St Martin’s said the ship was seized during their regular patrol duty in the southeast area of St Martin’s Island in Teknaf upazila.
