bdnews24.com :Bangladesh Bank is going to make CSR guidelines “tougher” to prevent terror or militant funding, its governor says. Atiur Rahman on Sunday said they would take the steps in view of the “unholy use” of CSR funds.He said the new guidelines would be set in a way that none can misuse it for funding militants.The governor made the comment when the central bank was amending the existing CSR guidelines.He was speaking at a ceremony to hand over medical equipment on Dhaka Medical College Hospital’s Burn Unit premises. The central bank donated Tk 5 million as part of its CSR to buy modern equipment for the Burn Unit.The governor said they observed that the public facility could not offer standard services to the patients due to lack of modern equipment.He particularly stressed on buying ‘Tank with Showering System and Lifting Facilities’ that is being used for dressing without low infection risk.He added introducing modern facilities was the demand of the time. Burn Unit and DMCH authorities including director Md Mostafizur Rahman were present among others.
