Reducing impacts of climate change including pollution and eradicating poverty are the two biggest challenges facing the world today.
The most serious consequence of climate change for the human society will be the changes in rain and snowfall patterns that will bring us a warmer earth.
We are already experiencing an unprecedented numbers and intensity of extreme floods, weather change, pollution and droughts and the problems are expected to grow. We should abide by the law and think a pollution free Bangladesh for the next generation.
Fujit Shak Babu, a professional photographer hailed from Narayangong, has started a journey to protect the natural and climate from pollution through an exhibition.
Solo photography exhibition of Fojit Shak Babu on climate change was held at Nalinikanto Bhattashali Exhibition Gallery of the National Museum in the city’s Shahbagh area recently.
The Ambassador of UK in Bangladesh Robert Gibson inaugurated the exhibition, while National Professor Dr MR Khan was present as chief guest on the occasion.
Chaired by Vice Chancellor of World University of Bangladesh Prof Dr Abdul Mannan Chowdhury, President of the standing committee on Science & Technology related Parliamentary committee Prof Dr AHM Ruhul Haque, former energy advisor Prof Dr M Tamim, Director of Dhaka Ahsania Mission Syed Ziaul Haque, President of Satkhira District Public Association Dr MA Jalil, Director of Agrani Bank Ltd Balaram Poddar, among others, were also present at the inauguration of the exhibition.
A total of 50 photographs by Babu focused on the environment related pollutions and hazards were put on display in the exhibition. It may be mentioned that in the concluding day of the exhibition, around 1000 students of different schools and colleges visited the exhibition venue.
Fojit Shak Babu worked in photo news agencies Focus Bangla and Banglar Chokh for many days. His photographs not only took place in the country’s media but also placed in outside the country.
Born on August 15, 1980 in Rupganj Babu has been working as staff photojournalist at Bangla daily Alokito Bangladesh now.
While talking about his exhibition Fojit Shak Babu said, “To create awareness, among the people against environment pollution I have arranged the exhibition. I think by arranging such kind of exhibitions people will be concern about pollutions.”
