Although the educational institutions are scheduled to be opened on June 30, it is not possible to open the educational institutions in time due to the outbreak of the ongoing pandemic.
A senior education ministry official said the rate of Covid-19 infection was on the rise. If the rate can not bring less than 5 per cent, educational institutions are not being opened. “However, the education minister will decide ?after reviewing the situation. We have to wait for a few days for this,” he added.
Md. Mahbub Hossain, Secretary of the Ministry of Secondary and Higher Education, said if the situation turns to worse, there is no opportunity to open the educational institutions. “We don’t want to see anyone at risk. The ongoing leave may be further extended in consultation with the Technical Committee of the Ministry of Education,” he added.
