Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has agreed to join Barcelona on a two-year deal after his contract with the premier league club runs out next month, reports The Guardian. However, Barcelona have not made any official announcement yet regarding this. The 32-year-old, City’s all time leading scorer with 258 goals, will leave the club as a free agent after the May 29 Champions League final against Chelsea. Aguero has won 12 major trophies with City — including the club’s first Premier League title in 2011-12 when he scored an injury-time winner on the final day of the season.
Aguero, who has been troubled with injuries this year, made only 18 appearances for Manchester City this season, scoring four goals. Manchester City’s Sunday’s league game against Everton could be the Argentine’s farewell game at the Etihad Stadium and their Champions League final against Chelsea could be his last game in a City shirt.
However, Guardiola was unsure if Aguero will start their final league game against Everton on Sunday as they wait for the results of a late fitness test.
