Two killed as private car hits truck in Savar

Two people were killed and three others injured when a private car hit a truck from behind in Savar. Three more people were injured in the accident.
The accident took place on Salehpur Bridge in Savar on Tuesday morning.
The deceased were identified as Putul Begum, wife of Ferdous Alam of Dhaka’s Dohar police station and Jamal Khan, son of Milon Khan of Thanda Paschimpara village under Nasirnagar police station in Brahmanbaria district.
According to the police, the victims were on their way to Dhaka in a private car in the morning. On Salehpur Bridge at Savar on the Dhaka-Aricha highway, the private car hit the truck from behind as its driver lost control over the wheel, leaving two people dead on the spot.
Savar Highway Police Station Inspector Sajjad Karim said the body was recovered and brought to Savar Highway Police Station.
