BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s press secretary Maruf Kamal Khan Sohel was relieved from his duties on Monday. A letter in this regard was issued from the party’s Nayapaltan central office in Dhaka. BNP’s Acting Office Secretary Syed Emran Saleh Prince confirm the matter. He said “Our party has decided to relieve him (Maruf Kamal) from his duties. I was instructed to inform him about the decision. “So, I have sent a letter in this regard to Gulshan office”. Prince said their party made the decision for various reasons, including the negligence of duties. “He (Maruf Kamal) didn’t go to his workplace (BNP chairperson’s Gulshan office) since February 2018. “He has long been neglecting his duties.”
