West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has been admitted to PG Hospital in Kolkata with injuries while campaigning for the Assembly elections. She is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Earlier on Wednesday, Mamata was injured when she fell while leaving the Reyapara Mandir in Nandigram district, reports PTI
Meanwhile, the Anandabazar Patrika reported that “four or five people pushed and threw Mamata away”.
The Trinamool leader also said that her legs were swollen after falling.
According to media reports and eyewitnesses, Mamata Banerjee suffered head, forehead and leg injuries.
Mamata alleged that 4 to 5 people in the crowd had entered from outside. “They pushed me deliberately. There was a conspiracy behind this.”
Earlier, Mamata returned to Nandigram after submitting nomination papers in Haldia. She visited several temples there. She was allegedly pushed in the middle of the crowd when she was leaving the Reyapara Mandir.
According to various media sources, the injured Mamata will be admitted to Belle Vue Clinic in Kolkata for the time being.
