Polls of 3 pourasavas of Ctg on Feb 14

The Election Commission has announced the dates for the elections of three pourasavas in Chattogram district.
The election will be held on February 14. According to the circular, elections will be held in 56 pouraavas including Patia, Chandnaish and Satkania pourasava in Chattogram in the fourth phase of municipal elections.
According to the announced schedule, the last date for submission of nomination papers is January 17, the last date for verification and selection is January 19, and the last date for withdrawal is January 26. Voting will run from 8am to 4pm on election day. In Patia pourasava voting will be done through electronic voting machine (EVM). Voting will be held in the remaining two pourasavas by ballot.
Returning officers have already been appointed ahead of the elections. Among them, Ataur Rahman, Senior District Election Officer for Satkania pourasava, Tarifuzzaman, Additional Regional Election Officer for Patia and Upazila Nirbahi Officer for Chandnaish Pourasava have been appointed. Chattogram Senior District Election Officer Ataur Rahman told media persons, sources added.
