Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin, who was re-elected President of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) for the fourth consecutive times, said he is eager to work with everyone for the development of Bangladesh’s football.
After declaring the final results in the much-hyped election of the Executive Committee of BFF on Saturday night, Kazi Salahuddin stated his satisfaction over the victory, saying he is grateful to everyone, who stand beside him. In immediate reaction, he gave full credit to the voters for their panel’s landslide victory in BFF election. The election was held at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the city on Saturday. A total of 135 councillors out of 139 delegates cast their votes.
Salahuddin said their victory belonged to the voters because many had told a lot before the election and the voters answered everything by giving their valuable votes for him and his panel.
He sincerely thanked to the voters on behalf of his panel.
Salahuddin, who elected as the President of BFF for the fourth successive time said they have been able to keep the football on ground in the last twelve years without missing any domestic league, any domestic competitions and matches.
The players and the councillors, who are directly involved with football, support him because he has been able to arrange all kind of domestic football competitions.
The BFF supreme said the current players are coming to him because he has done the right thing for the development of Bangladesh’s football.
He also said he will work with everyone for the development of Bangladesh’s football as it doesn’t matter to him who belonged to what panel.
It may be mentioned that Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin was re-elected President of BFF who secured 94 votes. His nearest opponent Badal Roy, who withdrew his candidature after the timeframe of withdrawal, got 40 votes. The other candidate for the post Shafiqul Islam Manik got only one vote.
Incumbent Senior Vice-President Abdus Salam Murshedy, MP, was re-elected with 91 votes, while his only opponent Sheikh Md Aslam got 44 votes.
Imrul Hasan, Kazi Nabil Ahmed, MP, Ataur Rahman Bhuiyan Manik of Salahuddin-led panel were re-elected with 89, 81 and 75 votes respectively.
Meanwhile, Mohiuddin Ahmed Mohi and Tabith Awal got 65 votes each. They were the candidate of Vice-President post. Thus their fate will be decided in the re-election scheduled to be held on October 31 at the BFF House.
A total of nine Members of Salahuddin-led panel were elected out of 15 posts of Members.
The Elected Members of the Executive Cmmittee are: Zakir Hossain Chowdhury, Abdul Wadud Pintu, Bijon Barua, Arif Hossain Moon, Nurul Islam Nuru, Mahi Uddin Ahmed Selim, Tipu Sultan, Satyajit Das Rupu, Iliyas Hossain, Imtiaz Hamid Sabuj, Mahfuza Akter Kiron, Harunur Rashid, Amer Khan, Saiful Islam and Mohidur Rahman Miraz.
