3 Africans held with equipment to make fake $
Three African nationals including two women were detained by the DB police with fake dollar making materials from a house at Uttara on Wednesday.
Police’s Detective Branch has detained three African nationals from Dhaka’s Uttara with equipment to produce fake US dollars.The arrests were made during a raid at Uttara’s Sector- 5 early on Wednesday, DMP Deputy Commissioner Masudur Rahman said.The DB team, led by Deputy Commissioner Sheikh Nazmul Alam, also seized papers, chemicals and manual to make counterfeit dollars from the arrested trio. These three Africans are members of an international racket involved in counterfeiting currencies, the DB said in a press release. The Interpol had earlier warned the Bangladesh Police about these criminals.Police on Monday arrested three Pakistani militants with a laptop and bomb-making manual from Dhaka’s Segunbagicha.
