Lady’s Organisation for Social Welfare
Leaders and activists of Lady’s Organisation for Social Welfare(LOFS) distributed sheep and van carts among distressed and underprivileged families in char areas (riverbed) in Rajshahi for improving their living and livelihood condition. LOFS, a development and human rights organization, distributed the income-generating support with assistance of Bangladesh NGO Foundation to mark the Mujib Borsho-2020, to mark the Birth Centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Editor of Daily Sonar Desh Akbarul Hassan Millat, Union Parishad Member Golam Mostofa, LOFS Executive Director Shahnaj Parveen and its Legal Adviser Advocate Shahinul Haque attended the distribution programme held recently at the LOFS office premises in Rajshahi. Speaking on the occasion, Akbarul Hassan Millat urged the recipient people to boost commercial sheep farming to meet up the nutritional demand through boosting production of meat and milk. He said quick economic growth of the region can be possible through proper uses and development of livestock resources.He underscored the need for ensuring all the legitimate rights of the people living in char (riverbed) areas in the district for improving their living and livelihood condition.
