Football referees to get Tk 25 lakh before Eid-ul-Fitr

The football referees, who conducted different domestic and international football competitions, had a due of Tk 81 lakh to Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF). Almost 100 referees have faced financial crisis due to coronavirus outbreak. The referees asked BFF to fulfill their payments. After lockdown due to coronavirus pandemic, BFF gave Tk 24 lakh to the referees.
General Secretary of BFF Md Abu Nayeem Shohag said, ” BFF will give Tk 25 lakh to the referees before Eid-ul-Fitr. Almost 100 referees conducted the matches of domestic and international football competitions. The referees would get Tk 81 lakh. After coronavirus outbreak, we gave Tk 24 lakh in different 223 cheques. Before Eid-ul-Fitr we shall give Tk 25 lakh to the referees. I hope we shall pay 60 percent dues of the referees before Eid-ul-Fitr.”
He said, ” BFF will pay all the dues of ground staffs, gatemen of stadiums and BFF House before Eid-ul-Fitr.”
