Bangabandhu Gabeshana Parishad
The year-long programme of Bangabandhu Gabeshana Parishad on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has began in the city on Sunday pledging to materialize the dreams of the great leader. President of the parishad Lion Gani Mia Babul along with others placed floral wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi 32. A seminar titled `Bangabandhu Theke Bishwabandhu’ was also held on the museum premises. Bangladesh Press Council Chairman Justice Mohammed Mumtaz Uddin Ahmed attended the programme as chief guest while Begum Shamsun Nahar Bhuiyan, MP and Ekushey Padak winner language movement veteran Shamsul Huda were present as special guests. While speaking Mumtaz said all have to work together in the `Mujib Year’ to fulfill the ideals and dreams of Bangabandhu. Lion Gani Mia Babul presided over the event.
