Societal Events Report :
The pictures depict how apathy and carelessness of the concerned government official at the field level and ineffective supervisory mechanism from the top-level of the Forest Department have endangered the very existence/survival of the country’s only rain forest park at Ratangul in Sylhet. The lack of environmental consciousness of the mass people, mainly visitors to the park; is also equally responsible for low upkeeping of the forest resulting in ultimate damage to the Fauna-flora of the park. It needs a serious social campaign to save this precious bio-diversity spot.
