Jamaat leader held in Comilla

Police arrested Burichang upazila vice-chairman and Jamaat leader Saiful Islam from the city’s Race Course area early Tuesday.
Officer-in-charge of Comilla Kotwali Model Police Station Khorshed Alam said a team of police conducted a raid in the house of Saiful Islam at Race Course around 3.00am and arrested him.
The arrestee was produced before a court at noon. Earlier, an arrest warrant was issued against Saiful for a criminal case.
