Model mosque being built at a cost of Tk 1cr in Chakaria

The foundation stone of the construction of the Chakaria Upazila Model Mosque and Islamic Cultural Center has been laid on Friday.
The Department of Public Works and Islamic Foundation is implementing the project .
The three-storey mosque will be built at a cost Tk 9.5 million. Jafar Alam MP of Chakria-Pekua inaugurated the foundation stone under the supervision of Upazila Executive Officer Nuruddin Muhammad Shibli Noman.
Chakria Municipality Mayor Alamgir Chowdhury, Chiringa UP Chairman Jasim Uddin, Lakharachar UP Chairman Golam Mostafa Kaisar, Kakara UP Chairman Shawkat Osman, Ujdul Jubo League General Secretary Alhaj Kausar Uddin Koshir were present . Later, Maulana Kafil Uddin Farooqi, the Khatib of the mosque, conducted the prayer.
