SAFF U-15 Championship: Bangladesh lose to India

Bangladesh Under-15 Football team lost to Indian Under-15 Football team by four goals to nil in their fourth and last match of the first phase of the SAFF Under-15 Championship at Kalyani Stadium in Kolkata, the capital city of West Bengal on Thursday.
By virtue of yesterday’s defeat, Bangladesh were eliminated from the title race of the SAFF Under-15 Championship.
Himangshu Jong of India hit a hat-trick.
Paul of India sealed the fate of the match just before the long whistle.
In the day’s other match, Nepal blanked low-rated Bhutan by six goals to nil at the same venue on the same day.
India emerged as the champions of first phase securing maximum 12 points from four matches, while Nepal became runners-up in the league earning nine points from as many matches.
Bangladesh finished third in the football competition.
India will face Nepal in the final tomorrow at the same venue.
