Cleanness drive for protecting Dengue outbreaks at JnU

With the slogan “Keep our campus clean, everyone stays safe” teachers of Jagannath University (JnU) and volunteers of JnU Rover Scouts started a cleanliness drive from JnU Central Shaheed Minar premises around at 12:00pm aiming to protect recent outbreaks of Dengue fever around the country.
Rover Scouts Group of Jagannath University unit on Wednesday conducted this cleanliness campaign on the university campus.
 JnU Treasurer Prof Dr Selim Bhuiyan inaugurated the campaign as chief guest while Ahsan Habib, President of rover in council of JnU unit was in the chair.
Welcoming the initiative, Dr Selim Bhuiyan said, ‘Our university campus has become dirty as several thousands of people gathered everyday. Besides, recent outbreaks of Dengue fever spreading fear among the students and teachers of the university, so it is the perfect time to launch a cleanliness drive.’ He urged all to involve themselves in welfare of the country, university authorities always would cooperate such activists.
Moderated by JnU Unit Rover in Council Joint Secretary Shide Mahadey Sakender, JnU Proctor Associate Professor Dr Mustofa Kamal, JnU Teacher’s Association Secretary Prof Md Noor Mohammad , Assistant Prof Kazi Faruk Hossain of Institution of Education and Research Department addressed the inaugural session, among others.
After the inaugural session, volunteers of JnU Scouts Group conducted cleanliness drive on different spots on the campus, including Central Shaheed Minar, Arts Faculty, Shanto Chottor, Science Faculty, Main Gate premises and both sides of main road of the university.
