UNB, Netrakona :
A college student was hacked to death allegedly by his friends over a trifling matter at Netrakona University College campus in the district town on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Ifti, 16, an HSC student of Netrakona University College and son of Mirza Azizur Rahman Hablu of Satpai Kalibari area in the municipality area.
Quoting local people police said Efti had an altercation with his friend Akash over a trifling mater on the college campus around 12 pm.
At one stage, Akash hit him with a sharp weapon, leaving him critically injured.
Later, he was rushed to sadar hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Police recovered the body and sent it to sadar hospital morgue for autopsy.
