Junior Tigers outplay England-19 in lone T20

Bangladesh Under-19 outplayed the touring England Under-19 in the lone T20 of the series on Sunday at Sheikh Kamal International Stadium, Coxs Bazar, by a big margin of seven wickets.
England won the toss and posted a moderate total of 120 for eight wickets after opting to bat first. Bangladesh has chased the target of 121 in 18.5 balls with having seven wickets in hand.
Two Bangladeshi openers- Tanzid Hasan and Mahmudul Hasan- put a partnership of 50 runs in the opening stand which has set the foundation for the win of the junior Tigers.
Tanzid fell for 28 off 22 balls by Luke Hollman while Mahmudul scored 44 to ensure an easy win.
However, Mahmudul failed to finish the game as he fell for 44 off 54 balls. Mohammad Parvez Hossain came to the middle at number three and scored 33 of 29 to bring the team to the win.
Shamim Hossain and Akbar Ali remained unbeaten scoring six and eight respectively.
Bangladesh won the game with seven balls to play (123/3 in 18.5 overs).
Earlier, Tanzim Hasan Sakib took four wickets for the junior Tigers to bundle English juniors for 120. George Hill was the only English batsman to offer some resistance against Bangladeshi bowlers as he scored 34 off 35 balls. But his innings was not something to bother junior Tigers in the match.
Both teams will lock horn in three ODIs on 29, 31 January and 2 February before facing each other in two youth Test on 7-10 and 15-18 February. While the ODIs will be played in Cox’s Bazar, the two youth Tests will take place in Chattogram.
