UNB, Savar :
A teenage girl has been strangulated to death after rape in Tongabari area of Ashulia. Police recovered the body of the victim, who could not be identified on Saturday morning.
Locals spotted the half naked body of the girl, aged around 17, with her hands and legs tied with ropes in a bamboo cluster in the area at around 11:30am and informed police.
Later, the law enforcers recovered the body and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
Sheikh Badrul Alam, officer-in-charge of Ashulia Police Station, said the girl might have been violated and then killed some time after Friday midnight. A case was filed in this connection.
