The biggest Eid-ul-Fitr congregation of the country as well as in the sub-continent was held on the historic Sholakia Eidgah in Kishoreganj on Tuesday. Lakhs of devotees came at Sholakia Eidgah Maidan to offer the Eid prayer, defying drizzly weather that is being continued from the morning. This year, more than 350,000 devotees offered their prayers marking 187th Eid jamaat here amid stringent security. Ismahul Muslimin Parishad Chairman and Secretary General of Jamiote Ulamaya Islam Maulana Faird Uddin Masud conducted the congregation at 10.00am. A special prayer was offered seeking peace, welfare and prosperity of the mankind and the nation especially for the Palestinian Muslims who are losing their lives and property in the brutal Israeli attacks.
