Husband held for killing wife

The young woman whose beheaded body was found from city’s Halishohor area was killed by her husband on Monday.
Zahid Hossain Raju killed his wife following a rift over her talking with another man over phone, said police.
SAM Badrul Kabir, officer-in-charge of Halishohor Police Station, came up with the information while addressing a press briefing held at the office of Chattogram Metropolitan Police in city’s Dampara area.
Badrul Kabir said police recovered the beheaded body of a young girl from a graveyard at Chotopole in Halishohor area on Friday. After investigation police arrested Raju, son of Harunur Rashid of Matiranga upazila in Khagrachhari district in this connection.
Following interrogation, police recovered the head, kept in a polythene bag, from a graveyard in city’s Beparipara in Double Mooring thana, 3/4 kilometers away from the spot where the body of Sumi, 20, was found.
