A group of miscreants on Friday vandalized, looted and assaulted female students of PHA hostel in Gonoshasthaya Kendra Campus at Mirzanagar in Savar.
But police reportedly did not accept the case when the senior officials of Gonoshasthaya Trust went to file a complaint in this regard with Ashulia Police Station, alleged Anil Kumar Bhowmic, Director of PHA told the media.
He said that over 100 unidentified miscreants entered the campus in the morning, demanding ownership of the PHA building and female hostel built on 15 acres of land on the campus.
At that time, they vandalized PHA building, looted valuables, beaten up students of Gono University. Even they humiliated female students in hostels and cut down trees.
“When we went to file a complaint in this regard with Ashulia Police Station, the on duty police did not take the matter into cognizance,” he said.
However, the Officer-Incharge (investigation) of Ashulia Police Station Javed Masud told media that he did not receive any complaint over the incident at Gonoshasthaya Kendra.
