Joint force in separate drives arrested 11 activists of BNP and its ally Jamaat-e-Islami from different places in Kolaroa and Kaliganj upazilas early Wednesday on suspicion of their involvement in violence and sabotage acts.Superintendent of Police Chowdhury Monjurul Kabir of the district said a team of the joint force, comprising members of police, Rapid Action Battalion and Border Guard Bangladesh, conducted an all-out drive in Kolaroa and Kaliganj upazilas from Tuesday night to Wednesday morning and arrested the 11.Among the arrestees, 10 are from Kolaroa and one from Kaliganj upazilas.They were held on charges of involvement in post-election violence and vandalism and subversive activities during the recent hartal and blockade programmes of the 18-party opposition alliance in the district, Monjurul Kabir said.UNB from Joypurhat ads: Police in separate drives arrested 10 activists of BNP and its ally Jamaat-e-Islami from two upazilas of the district on Tuesday night.Police control room sources said a team of police conducted an all-out drive in Panchbibi and Sadar upazilas of the district atnight and arrested the 10 on their suspected involvement in violence.Among the arrestees were three BNP, five Jamaat and two Shibir activist
