Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets filed 3,909 cases on Tuesday for traffic rule violation marking the Traffic Week. The Traffic Week has begun on August 5 in response to recent nationwide protest over death of two students in road accidents and will continue till August 11 aimed at making people aware to obey traffic rule. Of the total cases filed on Tuesday, 386 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 47 for using hydraulic horn, eight for using hotter and beckon light and 25 others for using tinted glass.
Besides, 1078 and 212 cases were filed respectively for having no driving license and fitness of vehicles.
