Technical Education Week begins

The Technical and Vocational Education Week-2014 began across the country on Wednesday, aiming to motivate students about technical and vocational education.
The theme of the week is ‘Technical and Vocational Education for Facing Challenges of 21st Century’, he said.
The Technical Education Week will be celebrated in all divisions, districts and upazilas across the country with holding various programmes have been chalked out, including rally, seminar and roundtable discussion, on the occasion.
About the growing enrollment rate, the minister said the rate of admission to technical education has increased by eight times in the last five years, he said adding, “We’ve a plan to increase the number by 20 percent in 2020 and 30 percent in 2030.”
