Mathews ruled out from Bangladesh series

Ahmelo Mathews has been ruled out from the second Test and two Twenty20 International matches against Bangladesh due to injury. Mathews could not take part in the first Test at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium (ZACS) in Chittagong from January 31 to February 4.
The second Test match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in Mirpur from February 8.
The first Twenty20 International match between the Tigers and the Lions will be held at the SBNCS on February 15.
The second T20 I match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will be held at Sylhet International Stadium in Sylhet on February 18.
Angelo Mathews was the Captain of Sri Lanka against Bangladesh in the two Test matches and two Twenty20 International matches.
As Mathews could not take part in the first Test match against Bangladesh at the (ZACS), Dinesh Chandimal led his side. Chandimal will lead Sri Lanka against Bangladesh in the second Test starting from February 8.
But Chandimal may not be included in the T20 squad of Sri Lanka. So, all-rounder Thisara Perera may lead Sri Lanka in the two Twenty20 International matches against Bangladesh.
