Defending champions Dhaka Abahani Limited recorded a 2-1 goal victory over Arambagh Krira Sangha in the seventh round of Saif Power Battery Bangladesh Premier League Football held on Wednesday at Bangabandhu National Stadium.
In the day’s match, Nabib Newaz Jibon opened an account for Abahani in the 31st minute (1-0) while Saad Uddin doubled the lead for the traditional Dhanmondi ‘outfit’ in the 37th minute of the match (2-0).
Foreign recruit Alamli Bukola Olalekin pulled one back for Arambagh in the second minute extra time of the first half (2-1).
With the day’s win, Abahani Limited secured 14 points from seven matches while Arambagh remained at their previous credit of four points playing the same number of matches.
