Water levels of 35 rivers rise, 43 fall

Water levels in 35 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise and 43 stations recorded fall.
Among the 90 monitored water level stations, six river stations have been registered steady while four rivers are flowing above danger mark, a bulletin issued by the FFWC said here on Friday.
The Surma at Kanaighat, the Kushiyara at Amalshid, Sheola and Sherpur- Sylhet are flowing above its danger levels by 2 cm, 7cm, 30 and 27 cm respectively.
Significant rainfall was recorded at some stations in different districts during the last 24 hours ending at 6 am on Friday.
A total of 84.3 millimetres (mm) rainfall were recorded at Teknaf, 51 mm at Lama, 73mm at Narayanhat, 50.5mm at Ramgarh, 64mm at Panchpukuria and 46mm at Barguna.
