DU opens CC Center

Campus Report :
A new research center namely “Center for Climate Change Study & Resource Utilization (CCCSRU)” has recently been established at Dhaka University (DU). Faculty members of the Department of Applied Chemistry & Chemical Engineering founded the center. The center will be an independent, non-profit research and training organization devoted mainly to the energy, environment and climate change issues.
The main objectives of the Center are: to initiate, promote, sponsor and organize scientific research work on the various dimensions of problems and issues pertaining to Fossil Fuels: Petroleum, Natural Gas and Coal – their rational utilization & clean and energy efficient processing technology, CO2 emission reduction, Climate change and its mitigation, Nano and Membrane technology, Waste management, Water and Air pollution and treatment technology, Energy policy.
