Housewife killed by husband

UNB, Sunamganj :

A housewife was killed allegedly by her husband over family feud at Bhoishobher village in Sadar upazila on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Papia,25, wife of Kamal Hossain of the village.
Quoting locals, police said Kamal and his wife Papia picked up a quarrel over family matter in the afternoon. At one stage, Kamal hit Papia with an iron rod, leaving her critically injured.
Later, she died on way to Sunamganj Sadar Hospital.
Neighbours caught Kamal after a hot chase and handed him over to police.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Abdul Hye, officer-in-charge of Sadar Model Police Station, confirmed the incident. A case was filed in this connection.
