4th edition of BPL begins tomorrow

Defending champions Comilla Victorians will take on Rajshahi Kings in one of the opening day’s matches of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) schedule to begin on Friday (November 4) at home of cricket Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur.
The match will kicks off at 2.30 pm.
In the day’s other match of the fixture, Rangpur Riders will play against Khulna Titans which will begin at 7.45 pm at the same venue.
Mashrafe Mortaza continues as captain of Comilla Victorian and he will have Imrul Kayes, Liton Das, Ashar Zaidi and Nuwan Kulasekara among those who were part of their championship team from last year. The foreign cricketers inclusion of Imad Wasim, Sohail Tanvir, Rashid Khan, Mohammad Saifuddin and Nabil Samad will strengthens their squad.
The Narail express will be keen to use Rashid’s legspin while also hoping Liton Das can score some runs as he did last year. Imrul is also in good form, enjoying the rewards of changing his approach and going after the bowling more regularly.
Mashrafe will have to juggle a strong overseas contingent as well as a talented bunch of local players. His commitment to the team last season was beyond measure, as he played many of the matches with injury, but this time he might need to be a little more judicious given Bangladesh’s busy season
after the BPL.
On the other hand, Caribbean Darren Sammy will lead as the captain of Rajshahi Kings. Apart from Captain, Sammy some of the star batsmen of the Rajshahi Kings squad are Upul Tharanga, Mominul Haque, Umar Akmal, Siriwardana, Mohammad Sami and Kestrick Williams.
Pakistani dashing allrounder Shahid Afridi is expected to lead Rangpur Riders. The team also has ace allrounder Shakib Al Hasan as the Icon player. The local boy full with talent and skill had played for Rangpur in past edition of BPL and will be confident enough to provide enough support so that
the team can seal the triumph in style.
The team has some talented players like Saqlain Sajib, Jahurul Islam, Abu Jayed Chowdhury Rahi, Soumya Sarker, Arafat Sunny, M Mithun, Muktar Ali, M Murad Khan and Rasel Al Mamun.
It has also good foreign collection Sharjeel Khan, Babar Azam, Mohammad Shahzad, Dasun Shanaka, Gidron Damien Pope, Richard James Gleeson, Nasir Jamshed and Suchitra Sananayeka.
Allrounder Mahmudullah, the icon player of Khulna Titans, will lead the side. The team having Mosharaf Hossain Rubel, Shofiul Islam, Shovagoto Hom, Ariful Haque, Mohammad Abdul Mazid, Alok Kapali, Junaid Khan, Ariful Haque, Md Hasanuzzaman, Naem Islam jnr, Nur Hossain Saddam, Saidur Rahman and Abdul Halim.
To strengthen the team it has also good foreign players like Nicholas Pooran, Riki Wessels, Kevon Cooper, Mohammad Asghar, Benny Howell. Lendl Simmons and Ben Laughlin.
