The first day of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination under Chittagong Education Board (CEB) passed off peacefully yesterday.
Board sources said, on the first day, a total of 77,026 students out of 77,709 participated in the examination from 198 colleges through 92 centers.
A total of 50 vigilance teams, consisting of teachers and magistrates, visited different centers to check any sorts of unfair means or irregularities.
CEB controller, Dr Pijus kanti Datta said first day of the examination passed peacefully and free from unfair means as the authorities adopted all possible options in preparation process to keep continue the recent year’s trend of copying- free and peaceful examination.
