Independence Day observed

 The Independence and National Day was observed in Gafargaon Upazila under Mymensingh district in a befitting manner on Saturday. The beginning of the day started at Zero hours of midnight with a 31-gun salute placing Of floral wreath at Shaheed Minars. On behalf of the local MP Fahami Golandaz BabelUpazila Chairman Ashraf uddin Badal,UNO Shiddartha Shonkor Kundu,Awami leagueLeaders, Chattra League, others officials of the upazila administration, the police department , Educational instutions, Altaf Golandaz Degree college, Muktijoddah Sangsad, various cultural organizations, Gafargaon Non-Government College Teachers’ Forum, Gafargaon 85′ Social organization, Primary teacher’s Somittee, and people of all walks of life, paid glowing tributes to the martyrs and veterans of the Great War of liberation and different socio-political and cultural organizations chalked out elaborate programme to celebrate the day and placed floral wreath at the central Shaheed Minar. Marking the day National flags were hoisted atop in all the public and private buildings.Upazila chairman Ashraf Uddin Badal, UNO Shiddartha Shonkor Kundu , and Awami league leader , Head master in-charge at Gafargaon Govt. Islamia High school ,Md. Nurul Islam Shikder salute March-past by police, Anser, School students and other organizations On the premises of Gafargaon Govt. Islamia High School ,Gafargaon press-club president Ataur Rahman Mintu, arranged by the upazila administration. Various socio-and cultural organizations arranged the day long programmes of discussion meetings, recitations, songs, dances, dramas, display, sports, and the other programmes.
