ACC to quiz 4 tax officials Apr 2-3

The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) will interrogate the commissioner of the Central Survey Zone of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) and three others on April 2-3 in connection with irregularities in recruiting officials.
ACC deputy director Nasir Uddin will quiz commissioner Syed Mahbubur Rahman and deputy tax commissioner Khalid Hossain and two others, said sources at the Commission on Wednesday.
Nasir Uddin has already prepared a notice and will serve it to them on Thursday asking them to be present at the ACC head office on the stipulated date to face grilling.
The sources said the ACC earlier received an allegation that 40 officials were recruited under eight
categories in the Central Survey Zone in 2013 violating rules and regulations.
The Commission decided to conduct a probe into the graft allegation two months back, and appointed Nasir Uddin as the inquiry officer.
