Lisanur Rasul :
Well, is human being in the temporal world only to get name, fame and wealth? The answer is very simple. It’s -NO. There must be much more in life. Let’s try to look at our close vicinity. Some related questions come, why do we make things? In simple words, we make things to serve us.
In greater sense, who makes us and why? He is Allah who makes us, why – to serve Him. Why we serve? Reason is that Allah creates all of us and expects us to live the life in a certain manner. Accordingly, it is the true prupose of our life.
Now, let’s have an observing eye on the issue. First, who gave us the light to find our way? Even at night, we have the moon for light and the stars for navigation.
Secondly, who gave the animals, the signals, which suit to their requirements? Migrating birds can navigate even on the overcast sky. Whales migrate by ‘reading’ the Earth’s magnetic fields. Salmon return from the sea to spawn at the exact spot by smell. Fish moves through water pressure receptors. Plants grow towards sunlight (phototrophism).
To summarise, who has blessed the creations with guidance? Truly, we should feel the important aspects of existence of life. The Quran says, “Allah created the human to be His trustee on earth and our responsibility is to believe in and worship Him”. The purpose for human’s life is not only worship but also to please the Creator. This can be achieved by doing well-being of others. A person can turn everyday activities into worship by purifying his/her intention and sincerity and also seeking pleasure through charity. Worship and charity provide the believers with many benefits both spiritual and worldly well-being. The human body needs energy like food; drink for existence and on the other hand for the soul it needs cannot be fulfilled without believe and obedience.
When we see a mega flyover or a mega construction, we automatically think of the maker who constructed it. When we see a mega ship or a rocket; we just wonder how incredible! Thus we become impressed by any man made dynamics. Let’s think, what about the human body with such a control systems? The brain – how it functions, analyses and -stores. The heart – how it pumps continuously for sixty or eighty years and taking-in and discharging blood. The kidneys, the liver and the various functions they perform. Our eyes, the human cameras, which adjust, focus and discern colours. All of these are done automatically.
Let’s think about it – who created them! Who has mastered their designs and functions? Who plans and regulates their functions? What about this universe? Definitely – there must be a Creator. This earth is a planet in the solar system.
There are millions of galaxies in the universe. They are all in order and work precisely. They are not colliding and clashing with one another. The animals, the fish, the insects, the birds, the plants, bacteria all have amazing life and life cycle of their own. Yet each of them has a law that they follow. I always wonder, who did all of this synchronisation, balance, harmony, variation and design.
We know it that who has the knowledge to design and created all of those. We should be grateful to surrender ourselves and obey the guideline that has been set for us. I am sure even a man of average sense would not deny how merciful is our creator to us.
We people are sometimes so confused and blind. Allah is our Creator and every one of us has a purpose. We must not forget it.
We, as human beings, should try to see everything what our minds accept as believer in faith. Allah has created this universe and has defined it course of action what we call laws of physics and laws of nature.
Our minds and worldly affairs mostly prohibit our mind from thinking. In fact, the real purpose of life is an extended matter and it can’t be described completely. So, the purpose of creation is the answer to these questions. The purpose of life is virtually endless and may come from any discipline such as philosophy, spirituality, science and religion.
In this temporal social life, we can live in peace, prosperity as well as in harmony if the building blocks of the social interactions and intra and inter-personal mannerism or orders are based on the ethical and moral sanctions endorsed by the religion or else thing will ultimately end in chaos and disunity.
As a social being, we should also be conscious of our obligations and duties to our Creator. We should vow in obedience to Him unconditionally and be ever ready to abide by His dictates and desires and orders. A complete submission to the Will of the Creator shall make our life here spiritually peaceful and also make us happy in this worldly life too.
