Int’l Anti-Corruption Day observed

The International Anti- Corruption Day , a part of international programme to create awareness about corruption among mass people was observed in Thakurgaon on Wednesday in a befitting manner with the slogan of “Desh Premer Shapath Nin, Durneetike Biday Kari”.
To mark the Day, Pirganj Upazila Corruption Prevention Committee arranged a rally, human chain and a discussion meeting at Upazila Parishad Auditorium.
Dupchanchia (Bogra) Correspondent reports: The International Ant-corruption Day was celebrated enthusiastically arranging rally and discussion meeting here in Dupchanchia Upazila of Bogra district on Wednesday. To make the programme, a grand success a colorful rally was brought out from the upazila nirbahi office premises marking the theme of this year is break the corruption chain and paraded the main roads of the town participating upazila administration, municipality, political leaders, journalist, teachers and students of different educational institution aiming to raise voice against the growing culture of corruption on the following day.
Gafargaon(Mymensingh)Correspondent: The International Anti -Corruption Day was observed by Upazila Anti-corruption prevention committee at Gafargaon town on Tuesday. Teachers and students from different schools including people of different professions part took in this function. On the occasion , Deputy Director. District Anti- corruption Abul Kalam Azad, Mymensingh Corruption Prevention Committee President Adv Anisur Rahman Khan, General Secretary Dr. Horishonkor Das, District Anti-corruption member Md. Mahbubul Alam, Gafargaon Anti-corruption Dr. K.M. Ehsan, Vice -president- Rafiqul Islam, Member Ajim uddin Master, and H .Kabir Titu delivered their valuable speech to create conscious about anti-corruption among public.
BSS from Mymensingh adds: A two-day information fair began on Wednesday in Mymensingh marking the International Anti-corruption Day. Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) Prof. Dr. Md. Ali Akbar formally inaugurated the fair as the Chief Guest with President of Shacheton Nagoric Committee Advocate Khalequzzaman in the chair.
The function was addressed, among others, by Chief Executive of Mymensingh Pourasabha Tariqul Alam, Additional Deputy Commissioner Md. Harun-Ar-Rashid, UNO Sadar upazila ANM Faizul Haque and Secretary of Mymensingh Press Club Ataul Karim Khokan, Convenor of the fair Shadeen Chowdhury delivered welcome speech narrating the objects of the fair and its significance.
