The newly -elected Secretary General of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists , an apex body of the journalists in Bangladesh Omar Faruk visited Chittagong after his victory in the recent election .
He was given a warm welcome by the leaders ofChittagong Union of Journalists (CUJ) , Chittagong Press Club and journalists of Chittagong at the press club on Sunday .
The newly-elected BFUJ leader expressed gratitude to the journalists of Chittagong for electing him in the election and exchanged views with the journalists.
The views exchange meeting was conducted by the Vice President of CUJ Ratan Kanti Devashish .
In the meet , Omar Faruk said, those who think Chittagong as a mufassil city , they are not right and said in the next 9th Wage Board , there will be no word of Mufassil .
He reiterated for sustaining the rights and dignity of the Chittagong -based journalists .
