9 police inspectors sent on forced retirement

The government has compulsorily retired nine police inspectors after they completed 25 years in service.

A notification issued on Monday by Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Nasimul Gani, confirmed the decision.

The order was made under Section 45 of the Public Service Rules 2018.
The officers will receive retirement benefits in accordance with government regulations.
Those retired include:
KM Azizul Islam (Armed Police Battalion – APBn),
Md Abdur Rashid (Criminal Investigation Department-CID), Md Jamal Uddin Mir (DMP Development Division), Akbar Ali Khan (Police Training Center, Sardah),
Md Sirajul Haque Sheikh (In-Service Training Center, Gaibandha), Mir Zahedul Haque Rony (Mass Rapid Transit Police), Md Asikuzzaman (5th APBn), Azizur Rahman (Chakaria Circle Office, Cox’s Bazar), and Md Aslam Hossain (In-Service Training Center, Jhenaidah).
