The Traffic Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed 867 cases against motor vehicles and drivers for violating traffic rules in a single day across the capital.
A media release of the DMP today said that they filed those cases and realised the money on Saturday (November 1) through their regular drives against the traffic rule breakers.
A total of 271 motor vehicles were dumped and 92 vehicles were wrecked due to poor driving practices, said Talebur Rahman, deputy commissioner (Media and Public Relations Division) of the DMP.
