Nilphamari Correspondent :

The leaders of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement have given 72 hours to remove Nilphamari General Hospital superintendent Dr. Abu Bin Hajjaj.

They have threatened to launch a tough movement if the corrupt official is not removed within the specified time.

The announcement was made during an hour-long human chain event in front of Nilphamari General Hospital on Thursday afternoon.

The human chain rally was led by member secretary Alif Siddique Prantar, convener of the Nilphamari district branch of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.

The joint conveners of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement district branch, Syed Golam Azam, Raisul Islam and Syeduzzaman, joint member secretary Rezaul Islam and student representative Ismail Hossain, and Akhtaruzzaman of the Jatiya Nagorik Party spoke.

The human chain alleged that the quality of medical services in the hospital is very poor, the environment is unhygienic, and patients are not getting adequate medicines.

Especially in the case of recruiting staff through outsourcing, the Awami League is being rehabilitated. The Awami League contractors are recruiting staff with the help of this 72-hour ultimatum for removal of Nilphamari Hospital Superintendent.

Alif Siddiqui, member secretary of the Nilphamari district branch of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, complained that the quality of services is not increasing because of this 72-hour ultimatum for removal of Nilphamari Hospital Superintendent of the hospital.

How can an officer who had a corruption case against him while in Rangpur still remain in this hospital?

Syed Mehedi Hasan Ashiq, convener of the Nilphamari district branch of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, said, we are giving him 72 hours. He will have to leave here.

Otherwise, a larger agenda will be announced. When asked, the 72-hour ultimatum for removal of Nilphamari Hospital Superintendent of the General Hospital, Dr. Abu Bin Hajjaj, said, there may be complaints.

If they are investigated, then the real issue will be known. I also want higher authorities to verify the veracity of the allegations.
