As many as 492 more people have been arrested across the country in the joint forces’ special operation ‘Operation Devil Hunt’. Over 7,000 people have been arrested in 13 days from the night of February 8 to the afternoon of Thursday, February 20.

This information was given by the police headquarters on Thursday afternoon.
According to the police, as many as 1,752 individuals were arrested across the country in the last 24 hours on various charges.

Of them, 492 were apprehended during the nationwide ‘Operation Devil Hunt’, Inamul Haque Sagar, AIG (Media and PR) of the Police Headquarters, told the media on Thursday afternoon, February 20.

On February 8, the government announced the special operation, Operation Devil Hunt, across the country, including Gazipur, aiming to maintain law and order and bring terrorists to justice.
The decision was made during a high-level law enforcement meeting at the Secretariat on the day, following an attack on students and civilians in Gazipur on February 7 nights.
