Six new e-cars are being added to the Chittagong University (CU) campus to make transportation easier for students. With this, the total number of electronic golf cars on the campus will stand at 12. This decision was taken at a meeting held between the university administration, CUCSU representatives and ‘Green Future Foundation Bangladesh’ at the CU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) conference room on Tuesday.
Confirming the matter, CUCSU Communication and Housing Secretary Md. Ishaq Bhuiyan said that due to the shortage of e-cars for a long time,students had to walk or take rickshaws due to lack of cars at specific times.
To alleviate this suffering of students, we have decided to bring new e-cars in an emergency meeting with the university administration.
He said, I hope that the new e-cars will reduce the suffering of students to some extent. Later, initiatives will be taken to bring more cars as per the demand.
