A total of 355 people were killed and 620 others were injured in 341 road, rail and waterway accidents during Eid-ul-Fitr.
Of them, 328 people were killed and 565 injured in 304 road accidents. 27 died and 55 suffered injuries in 27 railway accidents and 5 were killed and 22 went missing in 10 waterway accidents.
Mozammel Hoque Chowdhury, secretary general of Bangladesh Jatri Kalyan Samity, revealed the information at a press briefing at Bangladesh Shishu Kalyan Parishad auditorium in the capital on Tuesday (May 2).
