The Bangladesh Police has transferred and appointed 53 officers to different units including 19 additional DIGs, 33 superintendents of police, and one additional superintendent of police, as part of ongoing efforts to streamline police operations.
The Ministry of Home Affairs’ Public Security Division announced the transfers on Thursday through two separate notifications issued by its Police-1 branch.
According to one of the notifications, Additional DIG Md Abul Kalam Azad from the Mymensingh Range has been transferred to APBN-1 in Dhaka, while Additional DIG Sardar Rokonuzzaman from 8th APBN has been transferred to the CID, and Khurshidul Islam from DMP has been transferred to RAB, along with 21 other officers.
In another notification, Additional DIG Raihan Uddin Khan from the Police Headquarters has been moved to the CID, and SP Ahmedul Kabir has been transferred from BMP to AIG at Police Headquarters. Additionally, AIG Abdullah Al Jahir and DMP Deputy Police Commissioner Mohammad Nazrul Islam have also been transferred to the CID, along with 32 other officers.
