A major reshuffle has been carried out in the Bangladesh Police. A total of 53 officers have been transferred, including 19 Additional DIGs, 33 Superintendents of Police (SPs), and one Additional SP.
The transfers were announced on Thursday (February 27) through two separate notifications issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Public Security, Police-1 Branch. The notifications were signed by Deputy Secretary Md. Mahbubur Rahman.
According to one of the notifications, Additional DIG of Mymensingh Range Md. Abul Kalam Azad has been transferred to APBN-1 in Dhaka. Additionally, Additional DIG Sardar Rokonuzzaman of 8 APBN has been transferred to the CID, Kh. Faridul Islam of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) to RAB, and Muhammad Mahabubur Rahman of DMP to RAB, among 21 other officers.
In another notification, Additional DIG Raihan Uddin Khan from the Police Headquarters has been transferred to the CID. Also, Superintendent of Police Ahmedul Kabir from BMP has been transferred as AIG to the Police Headquarters, and Abdullah Al Zahir has also been transferred as AIG to the Police Headquarters.
Additionally, Mohammad Nazrul Islam, Deputy Police Commissioner of DMP, has been transferred to the CID. In total, 32 officers were transferred.
