Another 50,000 cubic feet of white stones illegally stored in dhopagule in Sylhet Sadar have been recovered.
Executive Magistrate Mehedi Hasan Hridoy conducted a drive from Saturday (August 30) morning and recovered the stones. RAB members assisted him in the drive.
Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Sylhet Sadar Upazila Sarkar Mamunur Rashid confirmed the matter.
He said that earlier, about 150,000 cubic feet of white stones were recovered from an abandoned pond. The stones recovered from dhopagule on Saturday will also be replaced in place of the white stones.
