500 model health centers inaugurated marking birthday of Sheikh Russel

As many as 500 Union Health and Family Welfare Centers were inaugurated on Tuesday marking the birthday of Sheikh Russel, the youngest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
 Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque formally inaugurated the heath centres in a city hotel as part of improving healthcare services in rural areas, an official release said.
He said Bangladesh has made remarkable progress in the health sector as the present government has implemented different effective programmes after assuming power, reports BSS.
Referring to Covid-19 pandemic situation, Zahid said Bangladesh has been globally lauded for combating coronavirus successfully simultaneously the country secured top position among South Asian countries.
